Press Releases for Leo and the QCB

As historian for the QCB it is one of my tasks to send press releases to the local media regarding the upcoming Leo Coffeehouse and other events we are sponsoring. They will usually print our releases but sometimes, due to space or other events, we will not be included. This does not mean we do not make an effort.

However, when individuals ALSO send press releases regarding their scheduled preformances at the Leo Coffeehouse, the media will sometimes override the release I have sent and print the alternate. If artists wish to send information to the media regarding Leo Coffeehouse, you are welcome to do so. However, if you are writing in regard to the Leo Coffeehouse, we would ask that you make sure you add the other artists performing on the same night as you in your release. Recently individuals have sent in releases that have been printed regarding the Leo which do not include all three acts for the evening. If your releases overrides the official release from the QCB, it is unfair when the other artists who are not mentioned. If you choose to duplicate our releases, please be sure to check the QCB website for all acts performing on the same night as you so that they are also mentioned if your release is used.

    Thank you,

    Prudence Hunt

Stacey Earle and Mark Stuart House Concert November 20th

Popular folk/Americana artists Stacey Earle and Mark Stuart return to the Cincinnati area, this time for a house concert at 7:30 on Thursday, November 20 at the home of Balladeer member Chuck Black in Milford. The evening is sure to be one of warmth by the hearth and sweet acoustic music by one of America’s best singer/songwriter duos! Suggested donation for the evening is $15 and we hope you can bring a dessert or snack to share. Drinks will be provided but if you want beer or wine you’ll have to bring your own. Please RSVP to Chuck at 513-831-1305 (you can leave a message saying you’re coming) so we can get a count and you can pay at the door. More information about directions and parking will follow. You can also pick up information on Sunday nights at the Leo Coffeehouse. Stacey and Mark gave a terrific concert at Leo earlier this year, so don’t miss their return for a cozy evening of songs in a home setting. If you can’t wait you can also check them out on Youtube!

    Thanks,

    Chuck Black
